Purpose / Summary:

The Associate Financial Analyst position is responsible for the consolidation and analysis of financial data examining current financial performance and identifying trends, and support of the development of the Strategic Plan, Annual Operating Plan and other company initiatives.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

Assists with the development of the Strategic Plan, Annual Operating Plan, other initiatives, due-diligence, and program/part profitability estimates
Performs financial analysis of operational and company key metrics
Delivers monthly financial reporting packages that include analysis of orders, revenue, margin, growth, price, cash, and working capital, customer, market, and product line performance
Investigates deviations between AOP/budgets and/or other major estimates and actual results along with communicating recommendations for improvement to manager
Supports working capital initiatives
Provides tailored financial ad hoc analysis to support the business
Supports external and internal audit requests
Anticipates the needs of internal customers; focuses work processes that deliver consistent, accurate, timely, and actionable financial information while maintaining high level of customer satisfaction
Prepares, reviews and distributes monthly financial reports to departments
Administers consolidation financial planning, budgeting, and expense management systems
Maintains records on daily cash balances and prepares weekly cash forecasts
Updates reports for management teams and board presentations
Assists in the budget & re-forecast process
Updates budget and re-forecast information in the system
Provides analysis on profit and cost efficiencies for programs, parts, site cost and departments
Supports projects to drive and enhance business compliance, simplification and standardization
Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge/Skill/Ability

Strong knowledge of Excel spreadsheet and modeling skills at macro level, PowerPoint presentations, and other Microsoft tools
Strong financial knowledge and skills in planning, forecasting, and analysis
Knowledge and understanding of complex financial transactions
Solid written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple projects with strong follow through skills
Ability to work under pressure and be flexible to adapt to changing work scope

Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field
One (1) year experience related to financial analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledgeable and experienced using Oracle Hyperion and Concur financial software systems
