Job brief

We are looking for a Contract Recruiter to facilitate our staffing needs. This is a recurring contract part-time role with ongoing cadence. Initial setup time will involve more hours to ramp up processes and content. Ongoing support to continue to develop relationships and networking to allow for the properly qualified candidates to be added as they are identified and ready to join our team.

Contract Recruiter responsibilities include coordinating our hiring process, sourcing qualified candidates, background checks, and applying advanced interviewing techniques. Ultimately, youll employ your specialized skills and network to help us bring the right people on board.

  • Design and implement overall recruiting strategy
  • Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications
  • Perform job and task analysis to document job requirements and objectives
  • Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job board/newspapers/colleges etc
  • Source and recruit qualified candidates by using databases, networking, social media etc
  • Screen candidates resumes and job applications
  • Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates within schedule
  • Onboard new employees in order to become fully integrated
  • Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices
  • Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports to the rest of the team
  • Help establish connections with professional groups, communities and other organizations
  • Help hiring teams interview candidates through various methods (e.g. structured interviews, behavioral interviews)
  • Advise hiring managers to help them make better hiring decisions
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
  • Promote company’s reputation as “best place to work”

Requirements and skills

  • Proven success as a recruiter
  • Hands-on experience in the entire recruitment life cycle
  • Industry hiring experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with recruiting software (e.g. Applicant Tracking Systems)
  • Knowledge of effective hiring practices (e.g. social media recruiting)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Outstanding organization ability
