D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for an Corporate Administrative Assistant / HR Coordinator. The right candidate will provide administrative assistance to the Vice President of Human Resources (HR) and senior HR management. Assist by answering phone calls and emails, scheduling meetings, and maintaining schedules.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assist the VP of HR by answering phones and taking messages, scheduling and maintaining calendar, arranging travel, and updating Outlook contacts
  • Schedule and organize department activities such as meetings, travel and activities for all members of the senior HR management team
  • Review subpoenas received by mail, email, from division HR coordinators and from corporate attorneys.Gather specified documents noted in subpoena and submit to the Legal Department.Track progress and respond to additional information as requested
  • Responsible for assigning and maintaining company garage parking
  • Partner with corporate New Hire and Talent Acquisition teams to onboard new employees
  • Create and oversee corporate building name plates and building security badges for entry, disabling access, and replacement badges
  • Collect and review quarterly organizational chart submittals from divisions, outside entities and corporate departments for accuracy.Distribute final approved quarterly copies to divisions, outside entities and corporate departments.Ensure corporate executives receive the most recent version.Maintain a master, historical organizational chart file in the HR directory
  • Assist in the planning and execution of corporate events and holiday activities
  • Submit salary increases and position change requests
  • Submit termination requests for LOA Department, HR managers, and serve as backup to division requests for termination assistance.Secure VP of HR signature on termination requests.Coordinate final checks from payroll, update department spreadsheet and HR directory, secure FedEx delivery for termination documents
  • Order and restock supplies for the HR department
  • Handle confidential and non-routine information
  • Open mail and determine level of priority.Sort and distribute mail
  • Submit and track approved invoices for payment
  • Draft memos and business plans, create charts, tables, and graphs
  • Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
  • Ability to work overtime

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
  • Three to four years of related experience and/or training
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Provide attention to detail and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with all levels of management and personnel
  • Ability to communicate and build relationships via teams and other remote style communications
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email
  • Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision
  • The noise level is generally moderate

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to organize and prioritize large volumes of information and calls
  • PeopleSoft experience a plus
  • Advanced excel skills a plus
