Compensation: $54.00 per hour, Paid Time off, Company 401k contributions, Health, dental, and vision insurance. Total Annual Compensation including benefits is $125,000.00

Data Analyst Job Description

The Business Data Analyst will be responsible for data modeling, Power BI dashboard creation and maintenance, ETL automation, ad-hoc reporting, and long term analytical and statistical projects. The Business Data Analyst will support cross-functional stakeholders and work with multiple sources and a wide range of data technologies and systems (e.g. SQL, Power BI, Hive, etc..)

Data Analyst Years of Experience/education and/or certifcations required

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance
• 5+yrs most recent experience as a Data Analyst
• Demonstrated strength in SQL, data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing
• 3+ yrs Experience with Power BI
• Experience creating PowerPoints and Dashboards for leadership

Data Analyst Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Creating and maintaining data dictionaries, use cases, functional and non-functional requirements documents, test plans and other project documents

• Assisting with requirements facilitation and KPI definition/alignment
• Assisting with user acceptance testing
• Assisting with dashboard demos and feedback gathering
• Think strategically and analytically about business and technical challenges, with the ability to work cross functionally
• Ability to distill problem definitions, models, and constraints from informal business requirements
• Demonstrate deep understanding of source data from various internal/external systems
• Support key business systems and applications
• Further establish the newly implemented change management process
• Communicate and present findings to stakeholders
• Work in an ambiguous environment, drawing out and developing business requirements to meet changing needs
• Working with technical teams to capture data driven metrics

Data Analyst Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or relevant work experience
• Demonstrated strength in SQL, data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing
• Advanced experience in Power BI
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other similar BI tools
• The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with development of metrics and business analytics, and have the aptitude to incorporate new approaches and methodologies, and a strong understanding of Data Warehouse (DW) concepts, while dealing with ambiguity
• Excellent business and communication skills are a must to develop and define key business questions and to build data sets that answer those questions
• Should be able to work cohesively with stakeholders to understand business requirements and implement reporting solutions

Data Analyst Top Skills REQUIRED:
