Job Summary:
The Data Analyst will work closely with Business Information and Financial Planning and Analysis to better understand production-based analytics such as: business segmentation, producer/production analysis, underlying components of growth, and efficiency metrics across our Agency Partners. The position will partner with business and technical stakeholders to increase data literacy and provide guidance on information-related issues.
Responsibilities:
* In partnership with key stakeholders, assists in evaluating, analyzing, designing and maintaining data and reporting model to promote efficiency and effectiveness across the organization
* Understands and interprets business needs into data processes, reporting automations, and system configurations
* Develops, documents, communicates, and maintains cross-system data mapping and builds out reporting to support organizational decision making
* Leads stakeholder engagement initiatives to identify current and future data needs
* Serves as a resource to key stakeholders for system configuration, enhancements, data and reporting implementations, interfaces, and production
* Performs root cause analysis for system and data issues and recommends system or process changes to improve go forward support of business needs
* Develops and maintains project plans for data and reporting upgrades and process improvement projects
* Translates complex problems and system concepts into end user support solutions
* Partners with key stakeholders to create and implement end-user support solutions to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and systems (e.g., Training, Quick Reference Guides, etc.)
* Partners with cross-functional leaders and process owners to support process and data mapping efforts to improve reporting workflow inside and outside of technology
* Partners with cross-functional teams and process owners to develop data and process maps, communications, training, and change plans for process and system changes
Education/Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Accounting, or the recognized equivalent in education and experience required
* Minimum of five years Insurance Brokerage/Agency experience
* Minimum of five years of experience working with implementation or system configuration required; eight years of experience preferred
* Minimum of five years technical training and documentation experience, preferred.
* Project Management Certification preferred
Technology:
* Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (MS Project, Visio, Word, Excel and Power Point)
* Experience with Workday Reporting, a plus
* Experience managing internal databases and maintaining data integrity
* Experience with continuously improving processes (end-to-end; inside and outside of technology) and configuring/implementing technology solutions

* Demonstrated strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making/judgment skills
* Knowledge/general understanding of insurance agencies and GAAP a plus
