Data Analyst (Performance Program) – Full Time, Days (PMS)

This position acts as a liaison and analyst for multiple programs and software within the Performance team.This position is responsible for analysis of major electronic systems including Cozeva for internal and external users. Collaborates with leadership within and outside department to fast track projects and see it through completion. Assists with other types of training with the user community for performance related programs as needed.Validates the accuracy of data from various sources on an ongoing business and tracks and resolves anomalies.Individual is responsible for being a resource for other team members.Individual must be highly motivated, able to establish rapport and interact well with individuals on all levels while maintaining a professional image and attitude.
Job Responsibilities/Duties
- Acts as a liaison of Performance Programs team, for internal and external customers offering resolution to questions, concerns, issues, and grievances by way of research & analysis and education/training. This includes working with different EMR/software/reporting tools/ Prospect Medical electronic systems, Cozeva, AerialCare, Office Ally, and Care 360 etc.
- Generate different reports and conduct routine meetings with internal and external team to communicate, monitor and oversee company’s key initiatives.
- Works on various key projects/initiatives to increase documentation accuracy.
- Work with department leads on specific outreaches/projects to attain highest % possible in STARS/HEDIS/P4P etc, Per need, write business requirements and work with technical teams to implement custom solutions.
- Do QA check on reports, database tables, custom/vendor product/solution etc.
- Analyze and verifies that data is loading correctly to system/internal/external entities.Analyze and correct anomalies with data, research discrepancies in system and provide and implement solutions to problems.
- Verifies that high quality standards are met to all input sources of Cozeva.
- Assists with meeting deadlines for HCC sweeps and quality measures data submission.
- Alerts team if large variances are found.Acts as an expert on Cozeva (and/or other pertinent HCC/STAR/HEDIS related management systems.)
- Extracts all performance related data from various health plans, websites and conglomerates it to do complete gaps analysis.
- Collaborate with Health Plans and/or internal departments to resolve any data-, process-related issues.
- Creates weekly/biweekly reports from different sources including Performance Programs Analytics to put together department score card by functional unit/project. Refreshes BI/QlikView/SQL reports tied to wellness visits, risk and quality metrics.
- Keep team informed of monthly & yearly progress for various performance metrics.Creates new dashboards as needed and modifies existing ones and programs changes.
- Tracks monthly PCP utilization of Cozeva and hands off to quality team lead to work with providers to optimize the staff’s use of Cozeva.
- Develops new reports as needed.Validates data within reports.
- Develop detailed understanding of HCC model quality measures to help organizational success in these areas.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive plan to ensure reporting of Medicare risk adjustment and quality measures comply with government, health plan and coding rules and guidelines.
- Ensure policies and procedures are documented and stored for department personnel to access.
- Support the Performance team with targeted and specific audits within all LOB.
- Works on various out of state projects to get the markets started and also setting up work/process flows.
- Identify trendsetters /establish scorecards and coordinate within market and corporate to jumpstart processes.
Qualifications
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in business administration, IT or Health care preferred or equivalent experience.
Minimum Experience: Five or more years’ experience in data analysis within health care domain.
