Title: Evaluation and Data Analyst
Department: Office of Catholic Schools ( OCS )
Reports To: OCS Chief of Operations
Position Summary:
The Evaluation and Data Analyst leads the process assessment and improvement function within the Office of Catholic Schools. This role is responsible for partnering with project leads to identify, track and assess key performance indicators for each initiative within the department. In addition, this individual will utilize their data and analytics skills to study various elements in school performance to inform broader policy and strategic decisions.
Essential job functions:
Identify appropriate metrics to assess both academic and operational strategic initiatives within the Office of Catholic School.
Develop and lead processes for collecting data to support the identified metrics.
Recommend and implement best of breed tools to track and evaluate program effectiveness.
Produce regular reports assessing the effectiveness of the various programs and identify areas for improvement.
Analyze large school academic data sets to discover areas for improvement, and isolate practices driving high performance.
Identify and implement database, business intelligence, statistics or other tools as needed to support assessment and analysis.
Perform other ad hoc data analysis and program evaluation, as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor s degree
2+ years of experience as Data Analyst, Business Intelligence, or a related analytical role
Strong analysis, data manipulation, and problem solving skills
Desire to attack complex data sets
Ability to work independently and manage several simultaneous projects with a focus on results
Familiarity with Business Intelligence, statistics and data visualization software
Proficient computer and word processing skills in a variety of computer applications (i.e., MS Word, Excel, Google Docs, electronic calendar software, etc.)
Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and activities. Understands and appreciates the Catholic mission of the Archdiocese and the Office of Catholic Schools.
