1.0 Purpose:
Job Descriptions are part of Company Quality Policies and Procedures. This standard defines the tasks and responsibilities of the IT Developer position.
2.0 General:
- The IT Systems Analyst role is responsible for analyzing, supporting, researching, and designing information systems to meet the needs of Business Process Applications and improvements in the Americas Region for Engineering and Manufacturing Disciplines. This individual will use their communication skills, ability to analyze and problem-solve business processes in an existing Business environment to consult with users identifying current system issues, improvement requirements and/or new automated solutions as needed. Utilizes analysis and solution development methods, including process maps, flow charts, and diagrams to design models of solutions. Scopes project costs and timelines. Documents installation, maintenance, and operating procedures.
3.0 Tasks and Responsibilities:
The IT Systems Analyst shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Provides support for current business applications
- Research and design improvements or new business system solutions for increased business productivity
- Performs unit testing on applications.
- Produces application documentation, including process and data flow diagrams.
- Capture automation and continuous improvement ideas from local users and clarify with involved process owners and management
- Ensure that Business applications meet business requirements and systems goals.
- Review and analyze existing Business applications and process effectiveness and efficiency, and then design solutions for improving, leveraging existing systems or suggesting new systems.
- Learn and abide by the Linde Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct. Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism in all communications, actions, and decisions.
4.0 Education and Experience Required:
- BS/BA in IT related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ year experience in Application Support and Design
- Strong Knowledge in:
- MS Project Server/Client
- MS Power Apps
- Power BI
- Tableau
- SharePoint Support/Customization
- Workflows
- Familiarity with MS SQL Databases
5.0 Skills Required:
- Process & Change Management skills
- Ability to analyze current business processes in all departments and openness to understand existing applications/programs
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
