Adient SCM Logistics currently has a job opening for Logistics Analyst in Plymouth, MI. Within this role, the candidate will be responsible for supporting our North America logistics operations consisting of over $300M transportation spend with a concentration on premium freight. Below represents the high level responsibilities of this role.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage and champion premium freight board to ensure shipments are being set up at cost effective pricing and manage relationship with premium freight broker
- Manage, track and trace critical air, ocean and domestic truckload shipments and communicate details to management
- Manage and resolve issues related to parcel shipments
- Report and communicate parcel and premium spends to upper management as well as cost allocations and other reports
- Assist with special projects, including CI projects, freight payment and other carrier negotiations
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Logistics (automotive industry experience preferred)
- Diversified modal management background required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving ability
- Strong attention to detail, planning/organization skills
