We are currently seeking a CNC machinist at our Irvine, CA location. This position sets up and operates computer numerical control (CNC) machines for production, ensures machinery has proper computer program and tooling installed, and monitors machinery for any problems during production. A successful CNC machinist is safety-focused and understands the importance of precision and quality.
The pay scale for a level II is currently $22 to $26 per hour.
The pay scale for a level III is currently $23 to $28 per hour.
Hiring bonus of $3,000 available after 90 days of employment.
Level II responsibilities include:
Simple setups and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
Uses computer-controlled equipment to select, position and secure CNC machines
Controls and adjusts machine settings to complete routine tasks according to specifications.
Operating CNC machines and properly using inserts, fixtures, and tooling
Reading and interpreting blueprints
Machining parts to meet customer tolerances for final inspection
Working closely with manufacturing leadership and fellow team members to achieve shared goals
Level III responsibilities include:
Moderate setups and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
Uses computer-controlled equipment to select, position and secure CNC machines
Controls and adjusts machine settings to complete more complex tasks.
Reading and interpreting blueprints
May assist with training other machine operators
Requirements: Level II
High school diploma or equivalent
Level II requires 1-3 years of experience or additional specialized training and/or certification
Gains or attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
Ability to lift 25 pounds
Dedication to safe working practices
Ability to problem solve with a strong attention to detail
Mechanically inclined
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Requirements: Level III
High school diploma or equivalent
Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.
Requires 3-5 years of related experience, or 2 years of experience with additional specialized training and/or certification.
Excellent verbal and written communication
Dedication to safe work practices
Mechanically inclined
