Your role will be to facilitate the Project Management practice for the organization, ensuring the Project Management Office establishes and sustains holistic and trusted relationships with all business units. This role will work closely with Information Technology, Vendor Management, Legal and internal Business Owners to ensure the project intake process is both efficient and comprehensive of all required reviews. The role will be responsible for coordinating and translating project intake and implementation processes with all key stakeholders and Project Management team members, and working to optimize our program while working closely with other senior leaders to ensure efficient and transparent outcomes.
Essential Job Functions: Project Management Create, document and direct assigned project plans. Ensure task accountability and defined timelines are upheld and communicated. Oversee and/or handle special projects as assigned. Consult with all levels of management to determine functional and non-functional requirements to establish boundaries and priorities of new projects.
Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope and task assignment including understanding interdependencies within a given program/project and managing accordingly. Manage vendor partners in a way which professionally represents organizational positions while monitoring and controlling deliverables. Facilitate project level change management activities to balance organization constraints. Effectively leverage SDLC and Project methodologies to best achieve organizational outcomes.
Ensure risks for projects are identified, analyzed, planned, controlled, communicated, and managed. Collaborate with risk control partners to ensure identified projects and functionality are in line with Corporate Strategic direction and policies. Plan resource requirements needed including monitoring and control activities. Align and manages project resources in an efficient manner.
Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately. Prepare regular status reports to stakeholders including senior management of project status and deviation from goals. Plan and execute project communication activities for project including understanding and communicating with stakeholder on needs and concerns and use sound judgement on engaging with organizational and project stakeholders as needed. Remain current on Credit Union policies and procedures, the latest rates, products/services.
Lead estimation analysis efforts to determine the sizing for a work item. Collaborate with PMO members to ensure alignment with and continuous improvement of the department s project management methodologies and standards. Create project schedules with appropriate sequencing of activities. Collaborate with stakeholders to coordinate quality management activities including user acceptance testing.
Project Intake Partner with Business Owners in evaluating and researching new technology for applicability to Credit Union strategies. Work closely with Technology management to determine feasibility. Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure appropriate due diligence and project reviews are completed during the project s intake process. Elicit and manage business requirements to ensure a shared understanding of acceptance criteria and desired deliverables.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to prioritize known work and scope items. Assist with the development & management of each project charter and execution plan, addressing various phases and sequencing of distinct work segments. Cultivate shared product vision amongst stakeholders. Identify and coordinate implementation of new technologies to meet business needs.
Recognize opportunities to make the Credit Union and its subsidiaries more effective and efficient. Deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations. Leadership Demonstrate pride of ownership along with desire to learn/understand and be a proactive solutions provider. Partner with key team members, departmental heads, and executives to identify business project needs and manage the project portfolio.
Manage team of Project Managers, PMO Business Analysts, and Associate Project Managers, mentoring less experienced Project Managers Assist in continuous improvement of the PMO project intake and execution process to support the organization in achieving its ROI goals. Facilitate and lead regular team meetings; prepare supporting agendas; document meeting summaries. Contribute to an internal culture of innovative thinking that supports Broadview s mission and strategic objectives. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor s degree and seven (7) years progressively responsible related experience in Project Management, Change Management, etc.
Two (2) years in a supervisory role within Project Management, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and lead teams. Familiar with Agile and Waterfall Project Management methodologies. Project Management Professional Certification such as PMP, or PMI-ACP. Excellent Project Management Skills.
Portfolio & Program Management Skills. Leadership Abilities strong in terms of ability to motivate teams, delegate responsibilities, inspire trust, respond to feedback, and solve problems. Communication Abilities strong in terms of both oral and written communication; must be able to make effective group presentations with a focus on training staff regarding technical areas; must provide clear and concise written communications. Computer Skills must possess strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Visio, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook with ability to learn other software as needed.
Microsoft Project a plus. Analytical skills collects and researches data, uses intuition and experience to compile and analyze data, designs workflows and procedures as appropriate for department efficiency. Problem solving identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations. Interpersonal skills works well with diverse groups of people; always treats others with respect and dignity; focuses on solving conflict without hostility; works towards achievement of mutual goals.
Ethics works with integrity while maintaining confidentiality of Credit Union records and sensitive information; upholds the values of the organization in the course of work. Adaptability adapts to changes in the work environment; changes approach or method to best fit the situation.
