Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to perform detailed inspections using industry-standard software.
- Perform accurate inspections to identify and report any non-conformities, ensuring product compliance with specified standards.
- Confirm and verify non-conformance findings through mechanical inspection methods.
- Assess parts and products for acceptance or rejection based on precise measurement results and customer requirements.
- Complete detailed and accurate documentation of inspection results and communicate findings effectively.
- Adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines, maintaining consistent work quality and productivity.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize inspection processes and product quality.
- Collaborate with team members and respond promptly to verbal and written instructions in a fast-paced environment.
What you need for this position:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED); additional technical certifications are a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in CMM operation, with a strong focus on PC-DMIS software.
- Solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting detailed aerospace drawings and specifications.
- Experience with mechanical measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and surface plate layouts.
- Prior experience in quality control or inspection roles, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Must possess a hands-on, “do it right the first time” mentality and thrive in a quality-driven environment.
- Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and reporting purposes.
