Role Summary: The material handler will be responsible for inventory within the facility. This involves receiving/ shipping material, distribution of material throughout the facility, and managing inventory discrepancies. Essential ResponsibilitiesMaintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials in stock, recording location of inventoryMaintains accuracy in recording material transactions, such as receivingPrepares finished stock for shipment by packing/ crating/ securing materialSupports the production floor by moving materialSupports and performs work in compliance to all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, policies, and regulationsProcesses components in compliance with internal processing requirementsMinimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma/ GEDDetail oriented, organizational skillsKnowledge of EHS procedures and policiesAbility to use manual equipment and hand tools safelyUnderstanding of manufacturing and quality procedures in a lean manufacturing environmentBasic computer understanding and data entry skillsPreferred QualificationsAssociate s Degree, or equivalent Technical School certificationExpertise with various fork trucksPrior computer skills in Microsoft suiteProficy experienceOracle experienceWabtec Corporation is committed to taking on the world s toughest challenges.
