Description

The Networking group is looking for a passionate Network Lab engineer to join our team to develop multi-device testbeds for functional and performance testing. We are looking for a highly motivated lab engineer who has an aptitude to debug complex and layered software stacks. You will be self-motivated and will design and develop device configuration and management solutions. You will collaborate with multiple geographically distributed teams that operate in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong programming skills with Python and Shell scripting.
• Proven ability to develop scripts and tools.
• Ability to install software and configure servers and network gear.
• Strong network debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience debugging problems in a highly concurrent environment.
• Ability to design complex testbeds and associated networks.
• Monitor compute and network devices and resolve performance issues.
• Ability to work with multi-functional engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with virtual environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with the TCP/IP suite of protocols.
• Familiarity with network configuration protocols (e.g., DNS, DHCP, Bonjour, etc.).
• Track record of building labs crafted for high availability and excellent performance.
• Ability to stay focused and prioritize a heavy workload while achieving extraordinary results.
• Experience with system performance characterization is a plus.
• Innovative, flexible, and results-oriented with a positive attitude.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
