This position will support the Payroll department at an industry leader with a variety of duties, including data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. Being able to effectively communicate with both internal team members and outside customers is crucial to succeeding on this dynamic, fast-growing team.
This Payroll Clerk opportunity is based in the El Segundo, California area and is a long-term contract / temporary to hire employment role. What you get to do every day- Craft and deliver training to employees on the use of proper payroll practices, including timesheet entry and online methods of accessing pay statements- Reach out to employees via phone and email to obtain timesheet approvals- Devise a system of administering and distributing reports- Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system- Construct and run custom reports- Perform basic clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc- Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system Requirements – Payroll software experience suggested- Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement- Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data- 1+ years of previous payroll experience- Eagerness to master new systems- Excellent verbal, written, and social skills- Highly organized and self-motivated- Foundational knowledge in sales analysis & reporting- Journal entries experience- Strong familiarity with auditing- General ledger experience requiredRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
