Job Details
This position is responsible for cost and general accounting for assigned manufacturing plants within the Americas region. The role ensures compliance with US GAAP for all recorded transactions and reconciled balances while maintaining effective SOX 404 controls.
Essential Job Duties:
- Perform all cost accounting functions, including annual standard labor and overhead rate reviews, product cost rolls, and inventory revaluations.
- Manage general accounting functions, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Collaborate with Financial Planning & Analysis and Plant Management to review cost center expenditures and gross margin analyses.
- Provide monthly analysis of plant results and explain manufacturing variances.
- Support various accounting projects as assigned by the Regional Controller.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, business conduct codes, and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications and Knowledge:
- 5-7 years of experience in general ledger and cost accounting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (MBA preferred).
- Experience with IFS, Ross, or similar ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and technical skills in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Ethical and detail-oriented, with a strong ability to maintain financial controls.
- Self-motivated with a collaborative team mindset.
Travel Requirements:
- 15-20% travel, primarily within the USA.
