Production Machine Operator

We are seeking Machine Operators for 2nd shift to join our team. You will help oversee operational activities and ensure excellent quality and safety control. We are hiring for 2nd shift machine operators. In this role you will be responsible for setting up relatively complex machines (Waterjet, Thermwood, Slab Saw) as well as validate program accuracy and parts quality.

You will be required to assist others in the debugging of machine programs and operating problems on 1st run jobs. You will monitor machine operation and product quality as well as create cutting nesting patterns to minimize material waste. Experience desirable but willing to train if mechanically inclined. Hours for this position are 4pm to midnight Monday through Friday.

Production equipment:WaterjetThermwoodSlab SawResponsibilities:Follow job procedures and specificationsSet up machines (programming, calibration, cleaning etc. ) to start a production cycleControl and adjust machine settings (e. g. speed)Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machinesInspect parts with precision and measuring toolsTest operation of machines periodicallyFix issues that might occur during the shiftCheck output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flawsKeep records of approved and defective units or final productsMaintain production logsSkills:Proven experience as a machine operatorWorking knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.
