Production Scheduler (1st Shift starting at $23.47/hour) Full Time

Primary Function

Assist the Master Scheduler with daily functions and paperwork. Plans and prepares production schedules for manufacture of industrial or commercial products by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities

1. Plans and schedules workow for each department and issues necessary paperwork
2. Prepares daily sub-assembly schedules in support of assembly production
3. Communicates schedule changes and impact of changes to appropriate manufacturing personnel
4. Confers with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects
5. Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
6. Runs shortage reports as needed and conrms with material planners to conrm material deliveries in support of schedule timing
7. Assist the Sales Department with scheduling request, changes and other inquiries
8. Assists Master Scheduler with MRP responsibilities, answering MRP messages, etc.
9. Enter new orders into Excel for Master Schedule and backlog le
10. Update sub-assembly worksheets with new materials with new product introductions
11. Update product lead times
12. Works with purchasing, inventory control and personnel to resolve cycle count issues, parts shortages and inventory discrepancies
13. Check all new jobs for planning cell and date of manufacture
14. Determine line capacity constraints with demand vs labor availability – Crest line currently being developed and to spread to more lines
15. Fill in for Master Scheduler when necessary
16. Other duties as requested by supervisor

Role Specific Responsibilities Qualifications

• Experience in SAP preferred
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak eectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram
• form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
