Orion Talent, the nation s largest military recruiting firm, is currently recruiting transitioning or former military professionals for Project Manager positions with a construction firm offering a broad range of services to their clients throughout the Southeastern US. Position DetailsLocation: Tampa, FLCompensation: $95K-$125K + $500/monthly fuel allowance, relocation on case-by-case basis. Travel: Some travel to site locations may be requiredPosition DetailsAs a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the construction process for hotel development projects. Your primary focus will be on planning, executing, and delivering hotel construction projects on time, within budget, and in adherence to quality standards and safety regulations.

You will work closely with various stakeholders, including architects, contractors, subcontractors, and hotel owners, to ensure successful project completion. Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. Collaborate with architects and engineers during the design phase to ensure project feasibility and compliance with building codes and regulations. Create and manage project budgets, monitoring expenses and cost controls throughout the construction process.

Address cost overruns promptly and identify potential areas for cost savings without compromising quality. Source, select, and manage contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other service providers necessary for the successful execution of the construction project. Ensure they meet performance and quality standards. Supervise all construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.

Address any issues that may arise during the construction phase promptly. Monitor project progress and milestones to ensure the project stays on schedule. Implement necessary adjustments to mitigate delays and ensure timely completion. Implement quality control measures to maintain high construction standards throughout the project.

Conduct regular inspections to ensure workmanship and materials meet project specifications. Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, including hotel owners, senior management, and project team members. Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and potential challenges. Position RequirementsBachelor’s degree (construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field).

Proven success as a project manager in hotel or similar construction projects($9m-$12m). Excellent leadership and organizational skills to manage diverse teams and coordinate complex projects. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with various stakeholders. Budgeting and financial management skills to control project costs effectively.

Familiarity with project management software and tools for planning and tracking. Computer skills and a familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite programs.
