Base Salary: $85,000-$125,000
Bonus Potential: As part of the management team you would be eligible for an annual management bonus of 15% and additional 5% site bonus.
Job Summary:
As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire process of setting up the new laboratory facility, from initial planning to final execution. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, procurement, and facility management, to ensure the project’s success. Your expertise in project management, laboratory operations, and coordination will be critical to meeting timelines, budgetary constraints, and quality standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Lead and develop a comprehensive project plan, including scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals leading projects to oversee the design and build of a new lab area
- Identify necessary resources and create a realistic project schedule
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as senior management, department heads, and subject matter experts, to define project requirements and gain support for the lab setup initiative. Foster effective communication channels and provide regular updates on project progress
- Define project budgets, monitor expenses, and allocate resources effectively. Coordinate with procurement and finance teams to ensure timely procurement of lab equipment, supplies, and services within approved budgets
- Oversee the design, construction, and outfitting of the laboratory facility
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with safety regulations, proper equipment installation, and optimal utilization of space
- Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to identify and source laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
- Evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage delivery timelines to ensure timely availability of equipment for lab setup
- Proactively address any issues that may impact project progress, quality, or safety. Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, standards, and best practices throughout the lab setup process
Job Qualifications:
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite, required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, required
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
- Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams
- Understand process control, capabilities, and have experience in a prior manufacturing environment, required
