Description

  • Analyze client energy and water usage and cost and create models for future energy and water use scenarios.
  • Build detailed excel models simulating range of economic outcomes of Renewable Energy (RE) and water solutions.
  • Participate in transaction-related due diligence processes.
  • Support RE contract negotiations, through quantitative analysis of impact of diverse commercial terms.
  • Develop and evaluate new RE and water projects and structures that meet client’s needs and address client specific concerns with contracting for long-term solutions.
  • Synthesize and summarize information from large data sets to help develop hypotheses for potential solutions.
  • Contribute to creative, client-specific problem solving to bring best solutions to our clients.
  • Understand and summarize client needs, opportunities, issues and concerns.
  • Develop and create well organized storylines and logical presentations for clients and other audiences.
  • Communicate complex concepts and analyses succinctly such that clients can make required decisions related to RE and water resiliency solutions.
  • Develop sustainability project goals, objectives, initiatives, or strategies. Monitor or track sustainability indicators, such as energy usage, and natural resource usage.
  • Assess or propose sustainability initiatives, considering factors such as cost effectiveness, technical feasibility, and acceptance.
  • Provide technical or administrative support for sustainability programs or issues.
  • Review and revise sustainability proposals or policies.
  • Develop reports or presentations to communicate the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives.
  • Create or maintain plans or other documents related to sustainability projects.
  • Research or review regulatory, technical, or market issues related to sustainability.
  • Research energy policy and electricity market mechanisms to identify and recommend energy related transaction opportunities
  • Run internal process improvement initiatives, to evaluate efficiency opportunities in analytical and client service processes and implement such process improvements.
  • Lead and support research and analysis across various clients, with activities including economic model creation, stakeholder alignment, and project bid evaluation.
  • Support project management across several Client Service teams, with activities including regular schedule monitoring, delivery of weekly presentations to clients, and upkeep of engagement documentation.
  • May telecommute.

Job Requirements

  • Must have a Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Public/Energy Policy, or related field or a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Public/Energy Policy, or related field, and 5 years of work experience in job offered or a related field.

    Position Requires:

  • Completing complex quantitative and qualitative analyses
  • Prior experience in one or more of the following: 1. Renewables, cleantech, water resiliency or energy industries, 2. Consulting, investment banking, PE/VC, project finance, economics, or engineering, or 3. Competitive electricity markets (wholesale and/or retail)
  • Understanding statistical principles and frameworks
  • Performing data and comparative analyses through fact sheets
  • Experience running statistical analyses
  • Evaluating economic feasibility and financial modeling
  • Presentation, process mapping or design software skills with platforms such as Tableau and PowerPoint.
