Senior Data Analyst

Job Description Savage X Fenty is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join the Business Intelligence team within our Data Analytics organization. How Do You Fit In. As the Senior Data Analyst , you will act as the reporting lead on the Business Intelligence team.

You will invent technologies to power Savage’s major strategic initiatives by developing reporting platform infrastructure enhancements & expansions. Examples of projects you might work on in this role include sourcing and modeling new data to incorporate within our reporting platform, conducting cohort analysis to understand customer lifetime value, or answering a strategic question about customer membership experience. This role will be mostly focused on developing and maintaining tools and sharing data driven insights to support our business operations teams (such as Strategy, Finance, Product Creation, Merchandising, Planning and Legal). Your insights will be critical to helping these teams recognize business opportunities, recommend strategies, & measure success.

In this role, you will develop complex SQL scripts to extract data from a transactional database & visualize that data in Tableau dashboards. You will derive business-facing insights from that data & leverage your excellent communication skills to present actionable recommendations to executive stakeholders. You will also manage our existing data platform & look for opportunities to advance our current capabilities. The right candidate will demonstrate an aptitude for career advancement & a desire to grow professionally into a management position.

In this role, you will have the chance to multiply your technical skills across the team by mentoring more junior analysts and directly managing an offshore analytics team. This includes allocating projects, providing surrounding business context, and overseeing work quality & delivery. We are seeking a candidate who is detail-oriented, curious by nature, takes initiative, works without supervision, begins projects independently, identifies high value work, is open to both learning and teaching, and is technically capable with a deep desire to become an expert in new systems and data structures. They will demonstrate an ability to act as a partner to business teams, merging data with business intuition to answer critical strategy questions.

They will showcase an ability to lead value-driving projects. This position will report to the Manager of Data Analytics on the Savage X Fenty Data Analytics Team . The mission of the analytics team is to provide all SXF stakeholders with the Right Data, in the Right Place, at the Right Time and empower stakeholders to make data driven business decisions. Our analytics team acts as strategic partners to the business, making an impact by merging data with a deep understanding of the customer experience. What You Will Do: Prepare data and advanced analysis for Savage X Fenty’s business operations teams; share actionable insights & support teams in translating your findings into executable strategies Write complex SQL queries to extract data from Snowflake in an accurate & efficient manner; build modeled datasets that are reusable by the team and can be repurposed for various business analyses; enhance existing datasets Develop user-friendly and intuitive dashboards in Tableau; maintain, enhance & expand existing dashboard tools to meet stakeholder needs Manage a2-3 person offshore team located in Hyderabad, India and provide regular feedback on prioritization and execution quality. Lead the Business Intelligence team through large scale infrastructure changes such as new KPI rollouts, migrations, & creation of centralized datasets Dig deep to analyze and identify micro-level insights and data patterns such as high-value customer segments, merchandising opportunities, sales trends, or membership perk insights Partner with data engineering teams to suggest improvements for our data architecture Build productive relationships with business operations teams, including but not limited to Strategy, Finance, Product Creation, Merchandising, Planning and Legal. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a quantitative analytics role. Advanced SQL skills to extract data and build reports. Strong understanding of relational databases & business intelligence tools. Aptitude for learning deeply complex data concepts.

Experience building data visualizations in Tableau. Advanced skills in MS Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and charting. Long-term interest in pursuing a management position in Data Analytics at Savage X Fenty. Self-aware & introspective mindset; understands the importance of giving & receiving feedback.

Aptitude for skillfully translating data analysis into business recommendations. Proven ability to multi-task and balance multiple project priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate with executives. Desire to apply strategic thinking and analytical skills in a fast-paced, high-growth entrepreneurial environment.
