Senior Product Analyst

WHAT YOU’LL DO

You will closely work with Global Accounting functions to ensure that data is reported efficiently and in a timely manner according to US GAAP. The team leverages various EPM tools like Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), DRM, FDMEE, and Oracle Cloud Planning platforms (EPBCS, PCMCS). This position offers an opportunity to be a part of an established Core Accounting Squad, which works cross functionally in an agile environment. The Core Accounting Squad owns a large portfolio of EPM applications that delivers value to BCG’s local, regional, and global Finance functions. In this role, you would work in collaboration with Global stakeholders and various functional teams, you will also provide end-user support, troubleshoot, and provide knowledge to the end users.

YOU’RE GOOD AT

• Responsible for managing and supporting the monthly consolidation process using Oracle Hyperion Financial Management.
• A good understanding of consolidation life cycle, System Integration of Hyperion applications, including budgeting, and forecasting applications and data warehouse/management reporting applications.
• Should have excellent troubleshooting skill and ability to understand the business requirements around financial close, consolidation process, various STAT Reporting requirements, Data flow from various system, COAs.
• Hands-on experience in Smart view & developing HFR reports to meet specific Reporting requirements.
• Perform admin tasks such as metadata updates, HFR updates, and FDMEE mapping maintenance. FX loads, security administration tasks etc.
• Perform reconciliations between HFM and source system for financial statement like Trial Balance, oracle GL.
• Ongoing maintenance and updates to financial and management reporting (Financial Reporting studio) and Smart view-based reports
• Sound Knowledge of accounting concepts such as consolidation process, intercompany elimination, cost allocations, and financial statements including balance sheet & income statement
• Proactively identifying and independently solving most non-routine problems by applying broad knowledge, troubleshooting system issues as they arise
• Actively monitoring and resolving issues with a sense of urgency, proactively communicating to keep key stakeholders and management team informed
• Applying Agile product delivery methodologies and principles, including work estimation techniques
• Working with multicultural distributed team located in different time zones and have the capacity to work on multiple projects concurrently.

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

• Bachelor s degree, or equivalent, required. Major in Accounting, Finance, Technology, or related field encouraged.
• 5-8 years of experience supporting Enterprise Performance management (EPM) applications preferably, experience with Oracle Financials, Hyperion Financial Management, Oracle DRM, SAP is a plus.
• Good functional understanding of accounting concepts, financial consolidation, Closing and External Reporting process.
• Proficiency in writing requirements in both agile user story and traditional formats.
• Proficiency in speaking, writing, reading, and presenting in English is required
• Must be open for flexible working as per business needs

GOOD TO HAVE SKILLS

• Understanding of agile software delivery, the path to production and other operational aspects – including extensive experience with JIRA
• Experience with Hyperion Planning, SAP, PCMCS
• Operational experience using ODI Console, and work repositories.

A dedicated cross-functional Core Accounting team consisting of Product Owner, Product analysts, System Engineers, Application Developers, and other functional finance subject experts in a cross-functional agile environment. You will also support BCG EPM application users across the organization. You leverage the latest technology and best practices to deliver results efficiently, timely and ensuring data quality.
