WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:Designs and develops software product applications for low latency, high throughput mission critical software products.
Analyzes, designs, programs, unit test, debugs and modifies software enhancements and/or new products. High client visibility: Interacts with internal/clients technical team and/or users to define system requirements, necessary modifications and UAT and/or production support. Provides guidance and support of testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies. Write, read and review programming code and logic.
Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. May deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups to internal and/or external audiences. Manages full software development lifecycle including testing, implementation, and auditing.
Resolves critical issues and contributes to the business unit/area development. Manages work efforts of managers/supervisors with responsibility for hiring, firing, performance appraisals and pay reviews. Identifies and allocates technical resources, e. g.
, programmers, business analysts to client projects within Development. Includes a mix of FTEs assigned to the development organization and purchased resources from other lines of business. Forecasts resource needs based on an analysis of both portfolio and projected client spend. Ensures base applications meet appropriate quality standards.
Provides input on product direction to product managers. Coordinates with industry compliance consultants and product managers to verify applications meet regulatory compliance. WHAT YOU BRING FOR EXPERIENCE:Ability to work U. S.
Eastern time zone in order to support US trading hours. 15+ years of experience within Capital Markets. Well versed with Equity/Trading systems, OMS/Ems (Enterprise Management)Knowledge of financial industry practices, regulations and workflows. Experience with end-to-end systems development life cycles and standards.
Has ability to write, read and review programming code and logic. A bachelor s in computer engineering, computer science or other related discipline or equivalent experience. Strong leadership skills: Leadership qualities to lead with example, deliver under pressure and plan for uncertainties. Team player skills to build and maintain professional relationship with internal and external clientsRequired Technical SkillsCore JAVAObject Oriented ProgrammingNetwork and socket programmingLow Latency backend Development using Core Java, Sybase, Linux, SolarisTCP/IP, Multicast and Network Programming using Java NIOData structures, Algorithms and Strong understanding of design patternsCI/CD automationSQLThorough understanding of Complex application architecture including:Low latency/high throughput systemsMulti-threadingHigh availabilityDistributed systemsStream processingEvent driven systems.
