You will be involved in algorithm design, data structure at petabyte scale, imaging and speech processing, artificial intelligence and robotics, infrastructure and network designs at a massive scale.
We look for leaders and individual contributors in front end designers, backend Java programmers, Linux engineers, network engineers, software and algorithm designers (remember the big O notation?), AI implementers, image processing engineers, database designers (SQL and NoSQL), messaging engineers and security engineers with knowledge at protocol level.

Job Summary
Directs and controls the activities of multiple units and or a large unit of engineers accountable for providing desired functionality to assigned content, products and or services.
Job Responsibilities
- Directs and controls the activities of multiple units and or a large unit of engineers accountable for providing desired functionality to assigned content, products and or services.
- Conducts ongoing assessment of units needs and deploys sufficient resources to meet agreed upon objectives, schedules and budgets at the highest level of quality and service.
- Develops operational policies to ensure competitive advantage in requirements gathering, design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of application solutions.
- Recommends or sets engineering performance and service standards and develops and oversees the implementation of operating plans to achieve those standards.
- Sets financial, operational and quality objectives for the team and develops master operational plans. Plans, develops and manages departmental expense and capital budgets.
- Develops short and long range product and service strategies and plans. Oversees the execution of operating plans for specified area of responsibility.
- Performs as an idea generator, working with others as a thought leader and subject matter expert to help brainstorm new processes and solutions. Shares highly complex information related to areas of expertise. Interacts with senior management to keep abreast of objectives. Transfers knowledge and collaborates across functional lines and or across departments. Interacts with direct reports and peers in management or customers or vendors to interpret information and improve cross functional processes and programs. Builds and enhances key internal and external contacts.
- Develops employees through on boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes, builds and maintains employee morale and motivation, ensures the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies, fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree and at least 8 years of experience Engineering or similar OR High School/GED and at least 11 years of experience in Engineering or similar
- Experience leading an Engineering Team
- Experience leading engineering teams and setting direction.
- Experience working with business and technical leadership.
- Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
- Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community and with vendors.
- Experience interacting at the executive level.
- At least 5 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
- At least 5 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and or cross functional team leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing cloud native or mobile native engineering teams
- Experience leading agile delivery teams and implementing continuous improvements
