Talent Acquisition Specialist – Position and Responsibilities
As a Talent Acquisition Specialist (TA) with Middough, you will coordinate and collaborate on talent acquisition and human resource administration efforts within Middough s corporate HR team. The TA Specialist is responsible for full cycle recruiting, building a talent network, employee onboarding/offboarding, HR administration, basic employee relations, various human resources assignments, and employee HR support. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Source and attract candidates using multiple social media platforms, third party recruiting platforms, and other best practices to build a robust candidate talent pool.
  • Conduct and manage candidate interviews, interview schedules, candidate evaluations and debrief sessions.
  • Maintain candidate tracking via the company recruiting tracker and Applicant Tracking System (ATS) in collaboration with the recruiting team. and take ownership of recruiting action items.
  • Collaborate with the team on the implementation of recruiting best practices/trends, speed to hire initiatives, and technologies.
  • Prepare and deliver to candidates high quality and timely candidate employment offers.
  • Prepare and manage required forms/documents for assigned candidates and new hires based on Company practices and applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships and career fairs with colleges/universities placement offices to enhance the Middough talent pool; schedule and attend career fairs, interviews, and targeted activities.
  • Collaborate with the HR team for continuous improvement of employee orientation, onboarding, and offboarding experience.
  • Coordinate and schedule new hire and random background screening and drug testing program(s) based on client-specific requirements and/or third-party consortiums as assigned.
  • In collaboration with the VP-HR, assist managers with employee relations matters, Company policies, and legal compliance based on Company practices and applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Advocate for, support and motivate a positive Company culture through company-wide relationship building and team collaboration.
  • As part of the corporate HR team, collaborate with all corporate functions and business units on joint HR and business initiatives and requirements.
  • Maintain, manage, and audit all personnel files, HR documentation, I-9 s, according to legal requirements and Company guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business, or related field required.
  • SHRM’s CP or SCP credential(s) a plus.
  • 2-5 years of hands-on professional and/or technical recruiting experience is required. Recruiting experience in Engineering/Architecture/Construction consulting or professional services industry preferred.
  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Understanding of full cycle recruiting methods and best practices.
  • 2-4 years of hands-on human resources experience required to include employee personnel file management, I-9 file and audit management, HRIS data entry, employee HR support, and high-level benefit understanding.
  • Exposure to workplace federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Highly effective and engaging verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills required with all levels in the organization.
  • High degree of professionalism and confidentiality required.
  • High degree of integrity in adhering to corporate policy and within all HR activities required.
  • Strong ability to take initiative, work independently, be self-motivated, and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail with strong time management skills.
  • Work experience in MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).

  • May require occasional car or air travel to other company locations or client sites.
  • This position requires the candidate/employee to possess and maintain a valid driver’s license in their state of residence.
