Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance is required to startTravel Requirements: NegligibleLocation: Dahlgren, VASUMMARY: WR has an opportunity for a Test Engineer, Senior to develop and execute detailed test scripts and scenarios to evaluate the functionality of systems. Create test data to validate functional and technical requirements. Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:Review requirements to ensure that tests will satisfy specifications. Interact with engineering to analyze and perform tests for systems.

Participate in project reviews. Collect data and analyze pattern. Provide documentation and regular progress reports for test cases. Perform new tests when field data fails or other problems arise.

Train, oversee, and direct work of junior test engineers. Work with engineers and PMs to evaluate hardware and software systems developed for the US Navy. Build a test plan and procedure with test cases based on system parameters and use cases. Generate data and execute the test cases to see how the system performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the system.

Be familiar with the operation of each system under test to accurately measure and record critical data for analysis. Working knowledge of interfacing systems, such as:Sensor SystemsTrack Management SystemsElectronic WarfareShips Self Defense SystemsDisplaysWeapon SystemsTactical Data Links in order to assess overall system and capability performanceCandidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical discipline. Ten (10)+ years of professional experience working as a Test Analyst, Systems Engineer, Test Engineer, Testing and Evaluation or Independent Verification and Validation. Five (5)+ years of experience specific to testing track management elements, subsystems, systems and capabilities.

Conducting software test and an ability to work with developers release testing. Developing, documenting, and executing test methods, test plans, test cases, observations, analysis, incident reporting, and test reports. Developing test strategies, including Developmental Test (DT) or Operational Tests (OT) in laboratory and field environments. Development of evaluation requirements and data collection requirements.

Knowledge of diagnostic equipment. Facilitating and documenting test coordination, readiness review, incident adjudication, and after-action reviews. Experience with RF, signal analysis, navigation, or cyber systems. Development of Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP)/Master Test Plan (MTP).

Ability to work in a lab and field environment. Ability to analyze, process, and format test data. Experience with script Simulation/Stimulation (SIM/STIM) scenarios to support verification and validation. Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree depending on domain experience and contractual requirements.
