Vice President, Corporate AffairsChicago, IL (Hybrid Work Structure)The Role:BCW is looking for a Vice President to join our Corporate Affairs team in Chicago. This person will contribute to the global growth and performance of the firm by supporting large, integrated client teams across various workstreams and programs. Acting as a key Client Manager, we will look to this person to develop strong relationships, identify and act on new client business opportunities, manage expectations and ensure a high quality of work from the teams executing on deliverables. You will be guiding client strategy, development and execution around earned media relations campaigns, content development and other integrated internal/external efforts including executive visibility, thought leadership and sustainability.

This is an opportunity to work across a variety of industry verticals, collaborating with multiple practice teams and geographies, and to play an active role in shaping a growing corporate practice in Chicago. What is the work.
* Proactively developing and expanding senior and C-suite level client relationships, acting as a trusted and strategic advisor* Counseling and building relationships with peers in the industry and with other lines of business across accounts to ensure alignment and best practices* Playing a lead role in developing staff and cultivating talent at all levels* Bringing proactive, positive storytelling to life for clients at the corporate level, ensuring excellence from initial idea to execution* Develop and/or edit key messages and media materials for corporate announcements and executives, including talking points, Q&As, news releases, etc. as needed* Building relationships/broker arrangements with targeted influencers to push out messaging* Managing budgets and billing and exercising sound stewardship of the resources of your account teams* Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in partnership with office leadership and BCW’s Growth team* Attracting new talent and enhancing the firm’s intellectual capital by driving innovation, developing new products and servicesExperience that contributes to your success:* Minimum of 8 years of previous public relations work experience* Demonstrated communication campaign success including strategy and successful/measurable outcomes* Strong background in both account management (acting as day-to-day lead) and media relations—creative and persuasive, able to influence audiences* Experience overseeing a team to ensure high quality deliverables* Advanced writing skills, ability to write for senior level management and audiences adapting tone and style* Ability to manage complex relationships diplomatically and consultatively* Ability to think innovatively; develop creative solutions and new programs* Ability to manage teams and individuals to enable them to perform to their fullest potential* Desire to work in a diverse and inclusive organization as an active participant in culture initiatives, training opportunities and employee resource groupsPerks of working at BCW:* Hybrid work environment that offers the flexibility and balance of working from home and going into the office* Paid time off for vacation, sick and personal days, as well as Summer Fridays.
