The Corporate Strategy Team leads the strategic ideation, implementation, and execution support for our business and culture transformation in order for us to meet our strategic priorities and to create sustainable competitive advantage over the long-term. The Corporate Strategy team partners directly with the CEO, Executive Committee (EC) members, and Business/Functional leaders to help solve the most important questions and challenges facing AssetMark.

The team focuses on developing firm-level strategy, establishing targets/KPIs, prioritization of strategic initiatives, market testing and adoption. The individual in this role will report directly to the Head of Corporate Strategy and will partner with Business / Functional Leaders, Corporate Development, Finance, and broader set of stakeholders to support on-going implementation of the Strategic Planning Process (SPP). VP, Corporate StrategyAssetMark is seeking a highly skilled individual to serve as the VP, Corporate Strategy – at times playing the Chief of Staff role for the Executive Committee. As part of the Corporate Strategy Team, support SPP to development of vision, mission, and long-term strategy objectives through analysis of research and data, communicating priorities and execution with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

This role will support EC decision-making by leading development and analysis of the company’s most important strategic choices. Leveraging their internal and external experience and network, the individual in this role will be encouraged to bring new ideas, make connections, and create relevance with our current and potential partners. This individual will be expected to invest in the development of strategy skills for individuals within the Corporate Strategy team as well as an informal network of individuals across the firm. This is a full-time position in our Concord, CA, Phoenix, AZ, Encino, CA, or Chicago, IL office with a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities:Support implementation of the annual Strategic Planning Process (SPP)* Synthesize and evaluate business and function strategies and analyze the enterprise level impact* Support ongoing implementation of the annual strategic, operational, and financial planning processes* Help develop topics and agenda for the EC* Lead interviews with stakeholders to understand trends, priorities, and issues to be addressed* Coordinate business and functional leaders in replying to EC requests* Support strategic exercises and various strategy workshops with stakeholders across the firm. Implement specific strategic initiatives* Drive execution of specific projects, typically at the direction of the EC or an EC member* Interface with senior leaders across the enterprise* Lead small, cross-functional strategic initiatives teams with business and functional expertsBe a thought leader for Corporate Strategy* Identify enterprise-level issues and opportunities* Bring in new ideas from your internal and external network* Help bring an enterprise view to business and functional initiatives* Develop cross-functional relationships across the enterprise* Build strong partnerships with business leaders and strategists across the enterpriseKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:* Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills for both internal and external audiences.

* Management consulting experience preferred.
* General strategy and transformation acumenCompensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $200,000 – $250,000.

This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered.
