Positions Logistics as a value-added service provider that functions as a profit center. Interacts closely with the customer experience team to minimize service issues with our customers. Must be able to effectively toggle between higher-level, strategic thinking and day-to-day tactical execution. Plans and executes projects to improve capabilities of personnel and processes.

Adapting industry-standard capabilities to Batory Foods needs to ensure that we are operating as optimized as possible. Develop and execute operational plans to effectively accommodate strategic product builds for Batory Foods to benefit from commodity market cycles. Effectively utilize KPIs to maintain visibility to functional performance to ensure continuous improvement in meeting stakeholder needs. Focus relentlessly on continuous improvement.
Ensure planning is operating with current industry best practices in S&OP/IBP to deliver best-in-class service to our customers while reducing working capital. Create and share necessary reporting so that greater organization is informed frequently regarding inventory status. Upgrade use of technology functionally to improve effectiveness and efficiency at Batory Foods. Manage the development and delivery of operational policies, programs, and systems.
Develop and implement SOPs for all key logistics processes. Improve automation and digitization of facility and shop floor systems. Develop and direct the evaluation and development of the logistics team. Develop budgets or approve expenditures for supplies, materials, or human resources, ensuring that materials, labor, or equipment are used effectively to meet operational targets.
Strong analytical ability to gather and interpret information and develop, recommend, and implement solutions. Create strong logistics industry relationships to foster long-term strategic partnerships so that Batory Foods is positioned to consistently operate during normal business cycles. Establish methods and procedures for departmental work activities, identifies and resolves operational problems, and communicates expertise and approvals. Monitor, assess, manage, and make recommendations to key productivity indicators including but not limited to financial, productivity, compliance, and service and facilities goals to improve service as well as reduce and control costs.
Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve operational issues. Negotiate service and materials prices with suppliers. Strong analytical ability to gather and interpret information and develop, recommend, and implement solutions. Personal Qualifications:Strong leadership, administrative, organizational, technical, managerial and communication skills.
15 20 years of progressive experience working in logistics disciplines with at least 10 years in formal, executive leadership roles. Strong subject matter expertise in planning, particularly in demand/supply planning, network design, and S&OP/IBPDemonstrated expertise in transforming logistics from a cost center to a profit center, especially in transportation and warehousing, with focus on warehouse design and layout, inventory management, warehouse automation, carrier management, freight rate negotiation, and transportation regulations. Intermediate to Advanced MS Office skills required. Demonstrated achievement of results over time utilizing high-performance teams required.
Ability to work independently required. Experience in the Food and Beverage industry required. Education and Formal Training:Bachelors degree in logistics, operations, engineering, or equivalent industry and leadership experience preferred.
