Wound Care Coordinator

Fairmont Care is seeking a responsible Wound Care Coordinator for the overall management of the all wound care in the facility, including the provision of treatments to patients/residents with regular updates to the physician and other members of the clinical team. Assessments are completed one routine basis with regular measurements taken to assess for wound healing. The Wound Care Nurse takes the lead in educating peer staff in proper wound care and is a resource for other clinical staff.

*Responsibilities: *

Graduate of an accredited nursing program Registered Nurse with a Certified Pharmacology Course

Wound Care Certification preferred

Demonstrates a commitment to excellence in wound care

Good organizational skills In-depth knowledge of current standards of practice in wound care

Excellent communication with other members of the health care team

Must be able to move at least 20 pounds

Must be able to read, speak and understand the English language.
