Description Abbyson is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our rapidly growing organization This role is tasked with critical areas of operating the growing E-Commerce Sales Operations division, including project management of major business initiatives, effective communication and reporting across the organization, and implementing procedures and processes to help Abbyson run efficiently and at scale.
The role is highly cross-functional involving coordination across a number of departments including New E-Commerce Customer Launches, Project Management and overall EDI support operations. DESCRIPTION: The Data Analyst is expected to demonstrate hands-on skills in data analysis and management, problem solving, analytical modeling, the ability to develop/analyze business cases. She/he demonstrates research skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, client focus, and the ability to support and enable teamwork. The candidate must be self-motivated and able to operate independently with limited guidance and direction.
RESPONSIBILITES: Demonstrate complex analysis projects. Research and analyze system data to create valuable reports, dashboards and actionable insights. Summarize and disseminate large amounts of data to different audiences/departments. Manage project timelines and deliverable schedules and share concerns about deliverables, timelines, and issues with project managers and directors.
Run ad-hoc “what if scenarios” and simulations to models and evaluate media plans. Provide on-going analytical support utilizing data management, technology and modeling. Analytical Skills: Data analysts work with large amounts of data: facts, figures, and number crunching. You will need to see through the data and analyze it to find conclusions.
Communication Skills: Data analysts are often called to present their findings or translate the data into an understandable document. You will need to write and speak clearly, easily communicating complex ideas. Critical Thinking: Data analysts must look at the numbers, trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings. Attention to Detail: Data is precise.
Data analysts have to make sure they are vigilant in their analysis to come to correct conclusions. Math Skills: Data analysts need math skills to estimate numerical data. Proficient in identifying and utilizing KPIs and metrics Skilled in presenting comprehensive reports and data to senior executives with ease. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree required.
Master’s degree in related field is preferred. Excel guru: must be highly proficient in advanced excel. 7 years’ experience in complex analysis projects preferred. 7 years’ experience in researching and analyzing system data preferred.
Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills. Excellent analytical skills. Ability to work in a fast paced and deadline driven environment. Ability to summarize and disseminate large amounts of data to different audiences.
