Job Description: Human Resources Assistant
Major talent agency with offices in Los Angeles and New York is seeking a highly motivated individual to assist in the Human Resources team in our Los Angeles office. This is an entry-level position, which requires initiative while learning on the job. Interest in human resources is essential. Strong leadership qualities, excellent phone and communication skills, multi-tasking and versatility are invaluable in this role. Great opportunity to advance with intensive hands-on experience. This candidate should thrive in a high speed, fast paced environment and be comfortable working collaboratively with a team. Responsibilities:
Support VP of Human Resources and team
Support HR Manager with time and attendance
Assist with onboarding new hires
Maintain digital personnel records including vacation requests and new hire paperwork
Schedule and contact candidates for recruitment
Process incoming mail
Creating and distributing materials for internal purposes
Assist with planning and execution of office events such as holiday party and employee recognition events
Help facilitate DE&I initiatives
Administrative support, including monitoring emails, screening phone calls and managing calendar
Qualifications and Skills:
BA/BS degree required
Previous assistant experience preferred
Experience using spreadsheets
Excellent written & communication skills
Proven ability to work collaboratively with a team
Proficient with PC, Microsoft Office Suite
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
Nimble and flexible to succeed in a fast-paced environment and handle ad hoc requests
Self-starter with the ability to thing and work creatively and strategically
