Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic, analytical problem solver, and motivated Information Security Intern to assist with the day-to-day activities related to security operations to support the company in the IT department and the IT team’s related responsibilities. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced team members and enjoy one-on-one mentorship, professional career development, senior level networking and intern specific projects.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist in managing cyber threat analysis activities; creates and presents reports and metrics surrounding threat analysis
- Help manage vulnerability management, and IS incident detection and response activities
- Contribute to developing, maintaining, and enforcing Caliber’s information security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines
- Assist with external and internal audit requests (e.g., SOX audit and customer audits)
- Assist in managing GRC and vendor management programs related to IS systems
- Contribute to a great company culture
- Interact with other departments and learn overall Caliber business processes
- Maintain knowledge of current cybersecurity trends and be able to clearly interpret them into actionable advice for staff in various types of technical and non-technical roles
- Work on special projects as needed
- Is a security champion for Caliber
- Other duties as assigned
qualifications and requirements
- Recent college graduate or senior pursuing an undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Network Systems, Cyber Security, or related major
- Great organizational and time management skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
