We are currently seeking a forging technician at our Irvine, CA location. This role assists press operators by performing a variety of tasks supporting the forging process of high-performance materials used in jet engine components for the aerospace industry.
A successful forging technician works collaboratively with the team, possess a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to accurately execute written work instructions.
- The pay scale for this position is currently $21 to $23 per hour.
- Preparing metal stock for forging, positioning hot metal stock on hot dies and extracting hot forgings from dies
- Completing quality assurance and part tracking documentation
- Preparing thermocouple wiring
- Operating a forklift following safe work practices
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to perform basic math
- Ability to read, comprehend, and execute written instructions
- Mechanically inclined
- Dedication to safe work practices
