Salary Range: $19-$22/Hour
Mid-Atlantic Waste Systems is in search of an entry-level Shipping & Receiving Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate has a fundamental understanding of inventory management, order accuracy, and the ability to transfer materials via hand, pallet jack, or forklift.
As a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, you will:
- Handle all aspects of shipping and receiving including quality control, driving a forklift, lifting boxes, verifying records, receiving products shipped from vendors, placing items in inventory, and preparing customer shipments.
- Make parts deliveries via company vehicle as required.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, freight companies, and customers while providing excellent customer service.
- Assist with loading and unloading various products.
- Uses safe methods when handling tools and equipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Certification.
- Ability to communicate with customers and vendors both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to use a computer.
