Warehouse Specialist (FMSC-2025-22132)
Bowhead seeks to hire a Warehouse Specialist who will be responsible for various warehouse duties in accordance with DoD logistics procedures, standard operating procedures, and any local applicable regulatory requirements in support of the NSWCDD personnel.
Responsibilities
Verifies incoming items versus receiving documents and reports any discrepancies and damagesRoutes, stores, stocks or palletizes materials to the correct storage locations and in accordance with prescribed storage methodsAssists in taking inventory of all stored materialsInspects stored materials while ensuring all damage and/or deterioration is reported appropriatelyAdhering to established company safety, personnel policies, SOP’s and assists with other duties as assignedMay be called upon to provide support to the Material Coordinator and Management as neededLocates and packaging materials for shipping as neededOperating vehicles, hand and forklift trucks in the normal course of operationsOther duties as assigned
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is required in addition to at least two (2+) years warehouse inventory, record filing and packaging dutiesMust possess a valid state Driver’s License and be able to maintain/obtain a forklift licenseAny prior experience with government contracts and locations is helpfulBasic level skills in Microsoft Office software suite – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPointAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
Physical Demands
Must be able to lift up to 50 poundsMust be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of timeMust be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain and maintain have a security clearance at the Secret level.
US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
