Locally owned and operated with large customer base across the US, Canada, and Mexico. Jtec is vertically integrated – our team does it all! From marketing and selling our product, on to R&D and production engineering teams. Raw materials coming in are machined, welded, painted, assembled, and shipped out to our customers. All with help and assistance along the way from administration and support roles: safety, inventory, quality, production support, maintenance, human resources, and more. Summary/Objective
The Inventory Clerk will arrange product kits, handle inbound and outbound inventory transfers, and perform frequent location audits throughout the warehouse.
Duties and responsibilities
- Perform inbound and outbound material handling functions in an efficient and orderly manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
- Examine and inspect product for wear, defects and incorrect quantity. Reporting any damage accordingly
- Record inventory transactions using ERP System
- Operate material movement and safety equipment appropriately with safe work habits (forklift, reach truck, cherry picker, hoists, etc.)
Working conditions
- Sounds, Noise – Job requires frequent exposure to noises that may be distracting or uncomfortable
- Indoors, Not Environmentally Controlled – Job requires working in a metal fabrication and warehouse environment without a cooling system.
- Wear Common Protective or Safety Equipment: Job requires constant use of the required personal protective equipment
- Duration of Typical Work Week – as a full-time position the standard schedule is 40 hours/week. Production volumes will often require voluntary or mandatory weekday and/or weekend overtime.
Physical requirements
- Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
- Must be able to lift and move 50 lb parts or fixtures.
- Must be able to stoop, bend, and reach overhead to assemble and/or move products.
- Must be able to work in safety sensitive role, fit for duty and free of any adverse effects of drugs or alcohol, including prescribed or over the counter drugs or other substances which may alter job performance during working times (e.g., drowsiness, impaired reflexes or reaction time, lack of concentration, etc.).
- Must be able to stand and work on your feet for an entire shift
