At Houston Methodist, the Director of Information Technology (IT) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) position serves as the primary liaison between IT and the organization’s Human Resources, Finance, Supply Chain and Research Institute operational areas leveraging the ERP portfolio of connected applications (including Workday, Symplr, GHX, StrataJazz). This high-visibility, high-impact position is accountable for managing multiple cross-functional teams related to ERP maintenance and development cycles, new implementations, and major organizational initiatives. The position has daily interactions with IT and operational (business) stakeholders, staff, and vendors, focusing on digital transformation and innovation for the organization’s non-clinical areas. The Director provides leadership through a deep understanding of ERP/business systems and interdependencies, business processes and program management to translate organizational needs into system requirements, design specifications and solution roadmaps.
The role relies heavily on governance, strategic thinking, and effective communication to ensure quality, productivity, functional excellence, and efficiency to execute strategic and operational objectives. This position manages a team consisting of product managers, analysts, and production support professionals and reports to the Administrative Director within IT.
