Job DescriptionBackground information:The Google Cloud Engineering Consultant will provide Google Cloud architecture and operations expertise within the Cloud Operations and Platform Service Unit (OPDA). The Cloud Solutions team, provides both project and ongoing services and is geographically distributed among UNICC locations, mainly in Europe.Main duties and responsibilities:The incumbent will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the Head, Cloud Operations and Platform Service Unit (OPDA). The incumbent will perform the following duties:Under guidance of the Head, OPDA, and in collaboration with other OPDA team members, support on the creation and ongoing development of the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Landing ZoneFollowing the Unit’s best practices, design, build, and implement scalable GCP solutions, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools to ensure consistency and efficiencyContribute to the development and enhancement of GCP services by designing and implementing new service featuresEnsure that all GCP solutions are aligned with UNICC Compliance and security standardsIn collaboration with other OPDA team members, support GCP FinOps practices to manage costs, optimize resource usage, and enable chargeback for multi-client operationsIn collaboration with the Cloud Solutions team, drive GCP business growth for OPDA and work to understand the clients’ needs and design the required technical cloud solutions based on themPrepare technical documentation and related procedure guidelines
