JANUS et Cie currently has an opening for a Buyer Planner to oversee Inventory Management and better improve processes.
This position is based in Santa Fe Springs, Ca. Mon-Fri.
Salary Range: $68k-$80K
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the planning, procurement and sourcing recommendations of assigned SKUs to meet Client and production needs
- Work with suppliers to ensure timely fulfillment of demand requirements and inventory replenishment needs
- Purchase and schedule finished goods/materials to meet production and sales requirements as needed
- Determine optimal inventory level for assigned SKUs
- Contribute to the development of inventory plan and manage performance to plan and targets
- Assist with the management of excess and obsolete inventory
- Advise management of market conditions and supply base activity which could affect quality, delivery, or price
- Analyze sales history to identify trends which might impact purchasing requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members to resolve issues and streamline processes
- Flexible hours are required
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with large scale ERP systems
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel with demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to effectively demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills in a collaborative environment
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize
- B.S. in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Procurement, Forecasting, or Supply Planning
