Freeman Price are delighted to be supporting a innovative clean technology start up in their search for a new Cloud & Data Manager to oversea Full Stack Development for their novel offshore monitoring products.
As the leader of the Cloud & Data Team, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading Full-Stack Development: Overseeing and contributing to the architecture and maintenance of our full-stack systems.
- Team Management: Leading a small but growing team of front-end, back-end, DevOps, and data science professionals, fostering collaboration and ensuring successful project delivery.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Providing support to customers, stakeholders, and business partners related to our data products.
- Strategic Collaboration: Partnering with senior management to shape and execute the company’s overall strategy.
Required Skills & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of commercial experience in cloud and data development and operations.
Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in AWS and Google Cloud infrastructure management.
- Strong experience with DevOps tools and processes.
- Expertise in Java/JavaScript development, with an understanding of best practices.
- Proficient in SQL and PostgreSQL database management.
- Familiarity with Linux systems and configurations.
- Hands-on experience with IoT technologies and message protocols like MQTT.
- Experience with network monitoring, OS security, and DNS administration.
- Prior experience managing distributed IoT networks.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced Degree: A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
Specialized Knowledge:
- Expertise in geospatial data and tools (e.g., ArcGIS).
- Proficiency in Python, R, or other data science and IoT programming languages.
