Position Summary
Cloud Center of Excellence of Thales is currently seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to join the team in Austin, TX. This role may require onsite presence once restrictions have been lifted.

Key Areas of Responsibility
•Evaluating, designing, developing, creating proof of concept and implementing security-focused tools and services.
•Supporting the company-defined cloud strategy.
•Ensuring and advocating cloud security practices.
•Driving engineering teams across all security practices.
•Making sure about continuous Thales DIS Cloud improvements.
•Identifying, raising and mitigating security weaknesses on Thales DIS Cloud infrastructure.
Basic Qualifications
•2+ years of experience building and architecting on Cloud-based Platforms.
•Experience working on Cloud Provider AWS.
•Experience working with Gitlab, Terraform and Kubernetes.
•Experience in programming in Python.
Additional experience and education that would be favorable:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related technical field of study.
•Have a high interest for new technology.
•Global knowledge on security.

•Prolonged period working on the computer
Special Position Requirements
•Travel: 25%, domestically and/or internationally
Regulatory Compliance Requirements
Must have U.S. Citizenship in order to obtain the post-hire Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Clearance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and must be able to obtain post-hire clearance from the Committee on Foreign Investments in the U.S. (CFIUS) and Department of Treasury.
