We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented, and motivated Labor Compliance Specialist to join our dynamic team in a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles, CA. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring our projects comply with labor laws and regulations, fostering a productive and inclusive workforce.
Key Responsibilities: Labor Compliance Reporting & KPI Tracking: Collaborate with the Economic Impact Team to generate and analyze Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports related to workforce diversity, inclusion, and compliance performance. Track and compile compliance reports, maintaining a clear overview of labor metrics across projects. State and Federal Labor Regulations: Identify and communicate state and federal wage requirements, ensuring all labor compliance standards are met, including providing accurate federal wage rates for project inclusion. Monitor and stay updated on changes to state and federal labor laws and wage regulations, ensuring compliance practices are updated accordingly.
Contractor & Project Team Coordination: Act as the primary Point of Contact between the Project Team and client stakeholders, facilitating the presentation of labor compliance requirements at pre-bid and pre-construction meetings. Review and audit contractor labor policies to ensure they comply with all state and federal labor regulations. Training and Development: Train contractors and internal staff on labor compliance best practices and ensure understanding of the legal requirements surrounding labor, including certified payroll and other relevant documents. Data Management & Documentation: Maintain and optimize the business engagement database, ensuring accurate tracking of labor compliance data.
Prepare ad hoc reports and provide requested compliance data to stakeholders as needed. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Labor Relations, or a related field. Advanced certifications related to labor compliance (e.g., Certified Compliance Professional) preferred but not required. Experience: 3+ years of labor compliance experience in a public agency environment, particularly in large, multi-billion-dollar capital programs or construction projects.
Familiarity with state/federal labor laws and wage requirements in the construction industry. Technical Proficiency: High proficiency in using LCP Tracker or similar labor compliance tracking software. Solid understanding of certified payroll reports and other labor compliance documentation. Compensation: $72k-$136k The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law.
