Overview
Purpose Statement/Position Summary: Manages, consults, and assesses all events engaging patients and families for the child life and expressive arts and therapies departments. Provides direction to members of assigned child life and expressive arts program staff through evaluation, cultivation of event coordination skills, and facilitation of event development. Acts as a team lead in implementing events with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and appropriate experiences across the healthcare continuum by monitoring the quality of events provided to patients and families. Demonstrates commitment to a patient and family-centered model of care.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: This position requires an experienced individual with a minimum of 5-years demonstrated experience with special event planning and implementation.
Skills Required:
Education/Licensure/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in related field is required.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple assignments. Needs to be flexible with hours as the workload may vary considerably at times. Job requires acceptable vision and hearing skills in order to work with constituents on the phones, computer and in person. Events require time spent out of the office, including some nights and weekends. Must have reliable transportation. Must be able to lift large and heavy boxes/objects, up to 30 pounds. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Pay Scale Information:
$61,360.00-$110,573.00

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
