Fuel Escort
Los Angeles, CA
Pay Rate: $21.00 hourly
The Intermodal terminal operates 24 hours per day 365 days of the year. Must be able to work any needed shift (day, swing, night) and weekends.

SUMMARY
Fuel Escort Duties
• Escorting the fuel truck on the BNSF property to get around the yard safely to fuel the cranes and other equipment as needed
• Works in conjunction with the fuel truck drivers to make sure the truck reaches its destination safely and provides fuel to the equipment as needed
• Travels in front of or in the back of the fuel truck in a separate vehicle, providing knowledge by the radio if there are safety challenges or obstacles
• Also warn the fuel truck if there is anything up ahead that can interfere with its safe passage
• Fuel Escort Driver must be able to communicate clearly via radio with the fuel truck driver as well as Parsec Ramp Supervisor and personnel
• While waiting for the fuel truck to arrive at the facility, will be expected to perform utility maintenance duties
Utility Maintenance Duties
• Cleaning around the mechanic shops and areas around the tracks
• Handling fluid spills
• Pressure washing
• Washing vehicles, cleaning pick-up trucks (removing parts/materials)
• Operating forklifts
• Putting together office furniture
• Graffiti removal
All work performed must be done in a safe and efficient manner.
This position is unionized and after a 120-day probation period, you will become a union member. Employees are subject to a shift change every six months.

Minimum Job Requirements
• 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver’s license
• Willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Must comply with established safety rules, policies, and procedures, including wearing required safety equipment
• Documented successful completion of lawful post-offer, pre-employment checks including criminal background check and drug screening
Physical Job Requirements
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and grasping
• Be able to lift 70 lbs.
