Lead AWS Cloud Modernization Engineer Full Time



Must Have Requirements:
•AWS – 5+ years solutioning and deploying applications in AWS
•Lead Experience – 3+ years in a role demonstrating ability to own and drive deliverables with minimal technical guidance
•AWS Lambda / Step Functions (serverless architectures)
•AWS ECS / Fargate (proficiency with containerized deployments, e.g. Docker)
•AWS RDS (relational and NoSQL database design/management, data management)
•Cloud security and recovery
•AWS data streaming/messaging services (e.g. Kinesis, Data Firehose, SQS, or SNS)
•Terraform or CloudFormation
•Experience architecting for both Linux and Windows environments
•Must have significant experience with at least one of the following:
•Golang
•Python
•.NET / C#
•Java

  • Description:

Cloud Migration and Modernization Program focuses on establishing a shared services capability that provides the necessary architectural governance for workloads being migrated to the cloud. This initiative aims to ensure that the migration processes adhere to best practices and efficient cloud architectures across various platforms.

The primary objective of this initiative is to enhance architectural governance during the migration of workloads to cloud environments. The initiative seeks to maintain a high standard of cloud architecture, ensuring effectiveness and compliance as organizations transition their operations to the cloud.

Program is seeking an experienced, lead level, cloud developer and solution architect with the ability to evaluate, estimate, design, implement and document cloud centric application architectures and deployment methodologies, and generally contribute to cloud enablement and cost optimization efforts while promoting cloud architecture and DevOps best-practices.


  • Responsibilities:

The candidate must be able to materially contribute to the design and implementation of varied application solutions, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), operational capabilities and DevSecOps requirements.
The candidate must understand development and deployment workflows and be capable of providing actionable guidance and executing on application re-factoring efforts.
This candidate will be expected to lead delivery efforts, mentor team members, and work in collaboration with other teams to meet technical requirements and committed timelines.

  • Mandatory Skills Description:

•AWS data streaming/messaging services (e.g. Kinesis, Data Firehose, SQS, SNS)
•Terraform and CloudFormation
•CI/CD automation using GitHub/GitLab
•Implementation of auto-scaling, cost-management techniques, and operational monitoring
•Experience architecting for both Linux and Windows environments


Must have significant experience with at least one (preferably two+) of the following:
•Golang
•Python
•.NET / C#
•Jav

  • Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

– AWS Certification(s) (verifiable)
– Experience with alternative cloud providers (Azure, GCP)
