Responsibilities
- Coordinate the movement of goods, including scheduling transportation, tracking shipments, and ensuring timely delivery.
- The role requires proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred), accurate record-keeping, and effective purchase order tracking.
- Track and update purchase orders in internal systems. Maintain detailed shipment records and ensure compliance.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, suppliers, and customers to arrange pickups and deliveries and resolve any transportation issues.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams to optimize stock levels and minimize stockouts.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to transportation and logistics operations.
- Utilize logistics software and systems to track shipments, generate reports, and analyze performance metrics.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization within the supply chain.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices, and other documentation.
