What Supplier Quality contributes to Cardinal HealthSupplier Quality is responsible for managing external suppliers throughout the product lifecycle, including evaluating and qualifying suppliers, monitoring supplier performance, auditing supplier’s quality management system to applicable regulations and quality standards, providing metrics, and addressing quality and regulatory issues.ResponsibilitiesDrive the creation of a robust supplier quality lifecycle management strategy for assigned commodity or product segment beginning with initial supplier selection through retirementEstablish a process to technically assess the capabilities of suppliers in a commodity or product segmentGuide direct report team members to greater levels of knowledge and application in Design Control, Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), Process Validation and Production/Process ControlsCollaborate with team members and coach direct reports to improve corporate supplier qualification procedures and documents to improve supplier oversightIdentify and lead assigned continuous improvement projects for either suppliers or internal cross-functional teamsAdhere to Good Manufacturing Principles (GMPs) based Quality Management Systems requirements for medical devices and medicinal productsManage applicable internal corrective actions to assure effectiveness and avoid repeat issuesEnsure supplier quality systems adhere to all applicable regulations and standardsQualificationsAbility to lead and influence cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Regulatory Affairs, Technical Services and Research & Development to drive reduction in patient safety risk and greater levels of regulatory complianceApply experience and knowledge of MDD (Medical Device Directive), EU-MDR (Medical Device Regulations), ISO 13485 (Quality Management Systems), Pharmaceutical guidelines, FDA, cGMP, and Risk Management (ISO 14971) to instill a culture dedicated to ensuring patient safety and sustained regulatory complianceWorking knowledge of business platforms and processes SAP, BPCS and Agile PLMProficiency in multi-tasking and working in a high paced environment with an awareness of continued impact on compliance and operational performanceOrganized and resourceful with excellent attention to detail and ability to execute on assigned project plansExcellent written and verbal communication skills to drive clear alignment of company and department goalsAbility to take responsibility for the professional development of your team and selfCommitment to work within the ethos of the company mission, code of conduct and applicable legal standards/regulationsBachelor’s Degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred8+ years’ experience in related field, preferred2+ years’ in direct leadership experience preferredWhat is expected of you and others at this levelManages department operations and supervises professional employees, frontline supervisors and/or business support staffParticipates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goalsEnsures employees operate within guidelinesDecisions have a short-term impact on work processes, outcomes, and customersInteracts with subordinates, peer customers and suppliers at various management levels may interact with senior managementInteractions normally involves resolution of issues related to operations and/or projectsGains consensus from and influences various stakeholders10-15% travel is anticipatedAnticipated salary range: $103,500 – $155,295** The salary range listed is an estimate.
