Parts Clerk 1st Shift Full Time



Job Description

The primary function of the position is to receive, inventory and distribute specialized tools, equipment and other materials to Maintenance personnel to be used in the repair, replacement, installation or modification of the buildings, equipment, machinery or grounds of the facility. In addition, will perform administrative duties such as maintaining and purchasing stock inventory, adding items to database, and working with outside suppliers.



Pay Rate: $19.65

  • Perform periodic cycle counts of the inventory, expedite orders when required and set up and add items to computer system
  • At end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties and complete all required paperwork
  • Issue, specialized tools, machine parts and materials to maintenance personnel as requested.
  • Receive, inspect and inventory stock material, parts and tools.
  • Maintain order and cleanliness of the tool crib storage area and shelving.
  • Promptly at the start of the shift review the work schedule, check equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled and prepare for operations.
  • Run computerized Preventative Maintenance schedules and computerized maintenance documents
  • Determine correct inventory levels, purchase stock inventory and special orders and perform general accounting for purchases.
  • Attend training as required, including Quality Control, Human Resources, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must provide proof of High School Diploma /GED
  • Must have experience or background in the maintenance field
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English, as it relates to the job and safety regulations
  • Must be able to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for the position
  • Must be able to perform all job functions safely
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check
